fantastic beastsFor this week’s Blu-ray Monday, we’re giving away a brand new copy of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them on Blu-ray.

However, when he accidentally misplaces some of his magical creatures, it soon spells trouble for New York’s No-Maj (muggle) world.

You could also choose a superhero flick, such as The Wolverine or Deadpool, or something funny, like Get Him to the Greek or Evan Almighty? There’s also the action-packed Creed, The Bourne Legacy or U.S. Marshals.

  1. …so many good spin offs…but beware the dire rubbish ones – I would *not* be recommending “Caravan of Courage”! 😉

  2. Fantastic beasts! I love Harry Potter so much we are using it as our wedding theme this year!
    Deadpool was fantastic though!

  3. I’d go with Fantastic Beasts for sure. Was worried it may be terrible compared to the Potter series but luckily it really was amazing.

  4. I’d have to go with Fantastic Beasts! It was a long awaited movie for me and when I watched it at the cinema, it was truly magical. I think I can speak for us all that the magic returned when the movie started rolling.

  5. Fantastic Beasts is my favorite spinoff for sure. It was such a great extension of the world in a completely new way.

  6. Not trying to get a duplicate entry but forgot to include my twitter information in my last post of a couple minutes ago. Please count this post as just giving my twitter username in case I win.

  7. I’m voting for Coneheads, spun out of SNL like Wayne’s World but with much less acclaim. It’s damned funny though. @IanMcArdell

  8. My favourite spin off film is Get Him to the Greek. Russell Brand was one of the funniest things in Forgetting Sarah Marshall & they really ran with the character in the spin off. I still quite the film & my wife still wants to get a furry wall

  9. The Chronicles of Riddick is one of my favourite spin off movies, although my boys would disagree and say the Minions

  10. Got to be Puss in Boots – he such a star in his own right, he definitely needed his own Movie!

  11. Not seen Fantastic Beasts yet, that’s why I really want this prize. My favourite spin off would be puss-in-boots, different from the Shrek films but very funny.

  13. I really enjoyed Serenity by Joss Whedon, a spin off from the Firefly Series. It built on the Sci-Fi Western scenario, which was interesting in itself! However, it filled out some characters personalities and back stories better, with the addition of more interesting characters such as the nameless Alliance Operative (Chiwetel Ejiofor) – who could have had a spin off of his own! its hard to believe he was Lola in Kinky Boots – what an actor. Now thats another story altogether – a spin off of a spin off!

  14. Serenity would be my favourite, I actually saw this movie before realising it was a spin-off on Firefly, it is a shame it was only 1 season though!

  15. Fantastic Beasts is a perfect example of a spin off as it extends JK Rowling’s Wizarding World into a new timeline and countries, bringing the magic to a whole new audience.

Looking elsewhere, I need enjoy Tommy Lee Jones in US Marshalls!

  16. I would have to say fantastic beast, i loved returning to the wizarding world was great to see it pre Harry Potter era =D
